Awards and Travel Grants
IEEE MASS 2017 will recognize the Best Student Paper, Best Student Paper Runner-Up, Best Student Poster, and Best Student Poster Runner-Up submitted to the conference with corresponding awards. The Best Student Paper of the conference will also receive a travel award of 800 CHF (Swiss Francs) to a graduate student or postdoc author of the paper attending the conference, sponsored by the Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks (JSAN).
We are pleased to announce that IEEE MASS 2017 will provide a limited number of travel grants up to US $800 to student authors (both within and outside the USA) and few junior faculty members (within the USA only) who have papers in MASS. Thanks are due to the generosity of the National Science Foundation, the IEEE Technical Committee on Distributed Processing and IEEE Technical Committee on Simulation.
Applications must be submitted by e-mail to the MASS Steering Committee Chair, Dr. Dharma Agrawal, Email: email@example.com by September 1, 2017 electronically as a single integrated document. Award notifications will be sent out by September 8, 2017. Applicants should provide a one page statement concerning the expected benefits of attending the conference, the title of papers to be presented along with the list of authors, and reasons why support is needed. An endorsement letter from the advisor on a letterhead must also be included. The award is limited to one author per paper and priority will be given to junior researchers as per the order of co-authors.
Each awardee is required to register for the conference and must stay in the designated hotel for at least 2 nights. Travel by award recipient awardees must submit all reimbursement requests by November 10, 2017 including original receipts and submit them electronically as a single pdf document.
